What we believe

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God - 2 Timothy 3:16
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. - John 17:11, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Mark 16
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. - Acts 4:12
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. - Col 1:27
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. - Romans 6:6, Acts 24:15
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. - Acts 1:14

We believe Christ’s resurrection holds the power to restore every aspect of creation, including elements deep within the human soul. As soul restoration takes place because of the gospel of Christ, all other essentials of our city, state, nation, and world will alter. Families will be healed, economics will shift, individuals will find center, and art will once again proclaim gratitude to our savior, Jesus Christ. This will happen through gospel presence, proclamation, and saturation church planting.

Our hopes for you

By God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone, we hope for ourselves and for you...

  • WISDOM: To commune with our loving God through sincere and regular prayer and Bible reading.
  • WORSHIP: To give all of life, passions, time, talents, and treasures to God because it belongs to him anyway.
  • RELATIONSHIP: To live generously and sacrificially towards others in your circle of influence.
  • EMPOWERMENT: To tell and show others what Jesus does through humans for his mission.

Baptism

Baptism is a way of “going public” with your faith in Jesus Christ. It’s the next step on your pilgrimage after you trust Christ as Lord and Savior. –A beautiful picture for a beautiful sacrifice. [LISTEN TO A SERMON ON BAPTISM HERE]

Why Be Baptized?

Jesus instructed us to be baptized. Baptism is an act of obedience. While it is not necessary for salvation, it demonstrates submission to God. We immerse at Restoration because we believe Scripture shows that Jesus modeled that for us as the way to publicly acknowledge our faith in Him.

  • To Follow the Example Set by Jesus: At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. (Mark 1:9)
  • Jesus Himself Commanded It: Then Jesus said to them, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
  • To Publicly Demonstrate That A Person Is A Believer: And many … who heard him believed and were baptized. (Acts 18:8)
  • To Openly Demonstrate Obedience to Jesus Christ: Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ and do not do what I say? (Luke 6:46)

If you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are ready to be baptized. Just like a bride and groom show others their love for one another by wearing wedding bands, your baptism is your opportunity to show others that you know Christ and are now walking with him.

Periodically, we hold a baptism class immediately following our Sunday gathering. This time is used to discover, question and pray concerning taking the next step into the water of believers baptism. For information email info@restorationbuffalo.com.
